About DNA Reunion

DNA Reunion is the world's first open autosomal DNA database for individuals wishing to seek lost family members using autosomal DNA. The DNA Reunion currently database accepts 3 types of genetic markers:

  • Autosomal DNA
  • Y-DNA
  • mtDNA

First launched in 1998, DNA Reunion began as a laboratory database service within Genetrack which allowed clients who are seeking biological family to register their DNA profile to search for possible matches with other individuals seeking biological family. Due to the advances in DNA and internet technology over the past decade, Genetrack has now launched an online version of DNA Reunion which allows anyone who has tested at any laboratory to upload their DNA markers for free to search for matches.

DNA Reunion is a free public service which allows people who have tested at any laboratory in the world to upload their markers for comparison. DNA Reunion is a Genebase application and members of Genebase have automatic access to DNA Reunion features. Existing members of Genebase can benefit from DNA Reunion as they will be able to search for individuals who have tested at any other laboratory. This increases the chances of connecting with more users and finding more matches. Members in the database can match to current and future participants. Even if a match is not found right away, participants are emailed when new autosomal DNA matches enter the database.
